Motivation

Where the drawing meets the research.

The questions that drive my scholarship — about care, endurance, and how we metabolize harm — run through my visual work. Drawing is how I process difficult fieldwork and imagine otherwise; it is also how I make research legible beyond the academy.

I make work in the margins of research: small acts of noticing that hold what fieldwork cannot. My illustrations attend to tenderness and repair as much as to harm — insisting that the story of violence is never only a story of violence.
