I design courses that move between rigorous theory and the realities students carry into the room. Feminist pedagogy shapes how I run discussion — distributing authority, taking student experience seriously, and making the classroom a place where hard topics can be met honestly.
Because much of my material touches violence and trauma, I teach it with trauma-informed practices: clear framing, choice in how students engage, and attention to pacing. Theory and practice stay in conversation, so students leave able to think and to act.

Leadership & Service

Beyond my own research, I help build the infrastructure that lets scholarship and community thrive. This work matters to me for the same reason my research does: movements are sustained by the unglamorous labor that keeps them running, and so are disciplines. Building durable spaces — for early-career scholars, for people whose questions sit outside the mainstream of the field, for collaboration across disciplines that rarely speak — is how I understand service.
