Ecologies of Justice Initiative
Environmental humanities and intersectionality, brought into the same conversation.
Co-directed with Kimberly Theidon, the Ecologies of Justice Initiative is a cross-disciplinary effort to connect environmental humanities with intersectional analysis — fields that share a subject in the unequal distribution of harm, but rarely share a room.
The initiative builds the infrastructure that makes that exchange possible: networks across departments and institutions, public and scholarly programming, and grant-funded collaboration that lets early-career researchers work on questions the disciplinary mainstream tends to leave at the margins.
